Below is the solution on how to fix wampserver when the icon stays on orange
1. Open Control Panel then Network Connections.
2. Right click on Local Area Connection and select Properties
3. Double click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) line to open the Properties
4. On the General tab, click the Advanced button
5. Click the wins tab and uncheck the Enable LMHOSTS Lookup box

not working on win8
Go to control panel -> administrative tools -> services ->SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) then you just stop the SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) service then restart the wamp server then it automatically orange icon turns to green for more info just it out http://www.coderetina.com/port-80-used-by-microsoft-httpapi2-0-wamp-apache-error-fixed/ thanks

Didn't work,also my PHPmyadmin is now searching username and passwor which I don't know
WAMP orange icon solved!
go to C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.6.12\data and delete ibdata1

even after installing VC++ ..i am not able to use wamp server...i am getting still DLL error
